These knobs were the only ones we found that the face plate was removable for the doors we had! Saved us a ton of time not having to router and chip out the face plates!Instructions were followed, but the knobs are only allowed to turn one direction. When turned the other way, it locks up. Not sure I like that feature.Loved itgreat door latch and reasonable pricedI would not recommend this. The latch plate has a lip on it so if you have a pre-cut opening you may have to exacto-blade out quite a bit to make it fit. It also comes in two pieces for some reason. It takes more work than other door knobs I've replaced. It's ok otherwise but I wouldn't purchase this again.I love the look but they are very difficult to unlock and lock.Doorknobs seem fine but the cutout for knob side of striker plate is larger than a Schlage and require additional chisel work to make fit. Because of this difference, I am returning this item.Hard to unlock Stix takes a few times playing with it to get it to openThis door knob is the perfect colour and shape for my home. Any black door hardware at any hardware store is ridiculously overpriced and leans heavily to lever style knobs.Like many parents, the lever style is not helpful when trying to install child proof options.I have bought 6 of these already and plan to buy more. The only way I could improve my decision to buy would be to buy the 10 pack of these.I've never installed a door knob before but I built my own door for the first time and this worked great. It only took me 20 minutes to drill the wholes in the door, put it together and tighten the screws. I really thought it was going to be so much harder.ive never had anyone teach me any of that stuff..????.Easy to install , but the lock button is not straight and when I close the door I have to turn the knob from left to right to open it gets stuck sometimes and it is not the first knob that I changeCheap. Everything about it feels very cheap and requires you to cut the standard hardware opening slightly larger. The lock feels terrible and gets stuck all the time.Don’t buy this.Love the new look of these but you need to be very careful installing and with cleaning products going forward, as the matte black finish is prone to easily scuffing. It is definitely not as robust as the older brass knobs that these have replaced.
