NiceThe knob seems pretty sturdy but the rhe piece that goes on the front, that anchors the door to the strike plate is bigger than my jig, so i had to adjust it manually. Otherwise, sturdyWe had no problems installing them at all. They replaced locks that were over 60 years old. Because the old locks were round I did have to drill out for the oval cylinders.The overall quality of these door knobs is trashy. The mechanism is gritty, handle screws are much longer than are needed, and worst of all the latch mechanism is about a 1/4” longer than a standard one. The latch mechanism is too long and hits the inside of the hole where the knobs stick thru so to make it fit I had to use a 3/4” spade drill and run it thru the latch hole and drill out a 1/4” cavity to make the latch fit so it is flush with the edge of the door.These door knobs don’t quite fit right I was able to make them work but it is like I have a English standard door and this is a metric door knob. The latch diameter is a little bit bigger than the ones I replaced so 2 out of 8 I had to woller the hole out bigger to get the latch in the other 6 it was very snug but able to get it in. On 7 out of 8 doors the latch was too long as described above. On 4 out of 8 the diameter of the door knob bases was larger than the hole in the door so had a gap once the knobs were screwed together. It Was just slightly oversized so I was able hit them with a mallet and drive them in so both knobs were flush. 6 out of the 8 doors were older from 70/80s so not sure if I just had some out of spec doors but two of them were brand new from Lowe’s and I still had the same fitment issues listed above.The screw fixtures that hold the knobs together are quite long so you only need a 1/2” screw to attach the knobs together and have excess room to get the screws lined up with the holes but they supply standard sized 2” door screws so it takes forever to get them screwed in. The fact that the knob handles are large means your screw driver is on an angle and barely able to catch enough of it to turn the screw.The only positive is once they have been painstakingly installed the door knobs do look very good. I would recommend you follow the advice of the below reviews and spend the few extra dollars and purchase kwikset door knobs from Lowe’s and skip this hassle it isn’t worth the small savings.Installs like every other knob, nothing strange. Good product, I like the size of the knob. I ended up using the square fitting it comes with but it is simple to pop it off and put the rounded one on. The 6 pack was less expensive than buying 5 from my local store, so I have an extra one in case I put another door somewhere.I bought these for both my house and my mother’s. I liked how large these knobs are. Definitely bigger than the standard door knobs you’d buy at Home Depot. It was a bit tricky getting them installed - they aren’t the best quality. But I really like how they look and feel!I thought the material was a little on the thin side compared to the wave handle. But just like the other one, it didn’t have a lock. I will keep looking. But I like the satin nickel finish more on the wave handle than on this one.These are a great quality. Very pleased with them and my husband had no issues putting them on the doors. Would recommend and I would buy again.Pros: changed all 4 locks upstairs with newly installed doors. Give a nice matching look. For the price they look great.Cons: installation! Not much in the paper provided. Installed by putting the handle through the obviously provided holes of the locking mechanism insert. Can't turn handle, yeah do not put through holes. Reinstalled at 90 degree and works perfectly.Works well, we like it!!
