The mechanism is a work of art. But this review is a Shout Out to the customer service I received at Door and Window Hardware (dawh.com) for this item. The FPL lock I had installed 15 years ago finally gave out, but it was not clear to me which part of it might be the issue. I called the manufacturer who referred me to DAWH. Paul spent 20 minutes on the phone with me figuring out why the door was not locking and going over possible points of failure, from movement of the door frame, wear on the catch in the door frame, the cylinder lock itself, to the internal mechanism. No easy feat when he couldn't see what was going on. In the end, he felt pretty sure replacing the mechanism would work. He explained in what order to remove the parts, how to watch alignment so it could be replaced properly, the set screws on the handle mechanisms, and I wrote it all down. The part came within a few days and despite the instructions, I had some trouble installing it. I called again, minutes before they closed for the weekend and a woman I called "Doris" helped me for another 20 minutes to solve the issue. These people take real pride in their products and their service and their patient support allowed me to do this without hiring a locksmith. BRAVO!
