This is easy to lock and unlock with just a fingerprint or the nfc device. It auto locks after 6 seconds to keep you safe. If you enable unlocking it will stay unlocked until it's turned off. It uses the YEEUU app to allow family or friends access and with it your able to see the events and access codes and when they happened. It's a different code generated for then so they won't have access unless you grant it and you don't have to give out your code. The batteries can last up to 12 months in this. When they die they are very easy to replace from the outside without getting locked out. Amazing price and worth buying for your home.I really wanted to like this lock, but in the end it just didn’t work properly. The numeric pad is flawed - when I was pressing a number the lock would beep twice most of the time, making entering the numeric passcode nearly impossible every single time.Customer support suggested that I change the batteries, which I did and it did work at that moment, but next time I went to enter the numeric code it was not working again. So I changed the batteries a few more times, and I even tried a different brand of batteries to make sure it wasn’t a bad batch of batteries, but the problem continued. Customer support did not respond to my request for a replacement, so I bought a second lock from them. The same problem was happening in both locks. There must be either a design or production flaw in this lock for the numeric keypad.I bought this lock as it didn’t require any modifications to my door (some require an additional hole be drilled) and I also liked that it was usable outdoors and could withstand heat and some rain. And the other aspects of the lock worked GREAT - the fingerprint and the NFC card worked every time, and the when using the app with the gateway I had so much access and control for the lock. So I thought about keeping the lock and simply accept that the numeric keypad won’t ever work properly……but in the end I decided I wanted a lock that worked fully.About one in four of the reviews on this lock gave it one star…..and one written comment mentioned how they had difficulty getting a refund from the seller (also my experience - Amazon had to get involved). I suggest that you pay attention to this and go with a lock that has a lot of positive reviews.This lock “seemed” like the perfect solution for a door from our garage to our enclosed rear patio. We were hoping to use it so kids could come in and out without having a key. Sadly, it failed on multiple counts. First, the app associated with the product is confusing at best. Second, the instructions leave A LOT to be desired, providing little to no guidance trouble shooting problems setting up the tech features. Third, I hired a professional locksmith to install the lock who had to come back three times because the first time he arrived he did not have the correct drill bit size to make the hole in the door, which is NOT a typical size, and a third time to finally remove the lock after it locked us out. Fourth, when the handle on the interior side was super sensitive to the degree to which you screw in the screws… too tight, and the latch does not release freely; too loose and you risk the lock eventually falling out of the door from use. Fifth, after the lock was installed the exterior side of the handle (with the fingerprint reader) rotated so significantly that you then had to awkwardly position your hand on the door knob to have your fingerprint read OR crane your head awkwardly to read the digital display (since the knob was now rotated) and enter your password. Finally, as noted, we had to have the locksmith return to remove the lock entirely because it had locked us out. He attempted to see if he could fix the lock but could not. There was no explanation for why the door knob rotated after installation, how to prevent that from happening in the future, or how to fix the lock so that it would allow at least one of the keys included to open it, which it did not. Total waste of time and money, having spent $200 on locksmith fees and now have a brand new door drilled out with holes that are not a typical size. Lesson learned. I shouldn’t have risked purchasing a product with few prior reviews.After locking myself out of the house a few times, I knew it was time to get myself a fingerprint lock. If you've ever locked yourself out, you can imagine all the trouble it can cause and understand what I mean. I'm glad I got this lock in time, especially with the holidays coming up, which means my mind is busy with all the errands and stuff and there's more than a chance I'll forget my keys. I also like that it has an auto-lock feature because from now on I don't need to worry if I locked the door after I left the house. The installation instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I am not a high tech person, but I am proud to say that I was able to install this lock myself.Easier than I expected to install. Though if you use the instructions to link to Alexa from their app. You need to use anotherNever had an issue with the fingerprint reader and it's easy to gripThe lock is great and the reader work well. I had an issue with the lock but I contacted support and they were very helpfulHave 2 times problem this lock! First time was a bad lock also lock me outside! Get a replacement use for awhile, Stay Solid green light and cannot use! Still have to email and find excuses! Try to delay refund I have to bring to Amazon claim to get my money back! Strongly don’t recommend!
